Why would you choose Carousel when there are many other early care and educational programs you could choose? One reason could be that Carousel has been nationally accredited through NAEYC since 1999. Carousel is consistently monitored and assessed by national, State, and local outside agencies in many areas: staffing, administration, curriculum, physical environment, relationships between families and staff and staff and children, safety, health, and nutrition. Achieving national accreditation renewals consistently allows our teachers and administrators to offer young children and families high quality and excellence on a daily basis, above and beyond regular CT State licensing criteria that most early care and educational programs have.
Another reason you might choose Carousel is that relationships are very important to us – our teachers and administrators never leave you wondering what is happening – you receive both written and verbal communication about your child, daily events, activities, curriculum, assessments of child development, etc. on a consistent basis. Pick up the phone and call us – we are here for you. We want to know your individual needs and expectations, and serve you and your child in ways that will meet them.
A good reason to choose Carousel would be our unique Framework (see it on another page) – where everyone is encouraged and given opportunities to be an on-going learner (because we never stop learning).
Our teaching staff have degrees in early childhood education, or related fields, and must be matriculating toward a degree to maintain their employment at Carousel. This direction provides the children with teachers that take their roles seriously, are career-oriented, and enjoy serving young children and families.
Lastly, when you have a tour around Carousel, you will find that Carousel is a happy place for children, families, teachers, and administrators. We consider it a privilege to share in your child’s early care and education years, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of your child’s most important time in life
– its beginning.
